Sunday February 18

  My wonderful supporters,

Eva GOES OVER THE TOP!

I have been
GLEEFULLY informed that Eva McMahan, one of our four walkers, went over the top today in the donations from her supporters.  Congrats to her.  She was actually expecting to have to fund herself.  See, there are a lot of good people in this world.  The others just yell louder, I suspect.

Anne -- Goal Reached!!!!!

You wonderful people!!!  Thanks to a contribution tonight from Mary John and Karla I have now reached my goal.

Thanks to all of you for your support and your good wishes.

Those of you who haven't contributed yet, please continue to send your money.  This is a cause that can use all the help that we can give.

Again, thank you.  You've made my training easier and you've made me happy.

You are good people.

Anne

Sunday training update -
and Happy Birthday to Eva on Wednesday!

We started off at 9 am with someone remarking that it was going to be a “fanny freezing” day unless someone had a 5-gallon bladder -and it was!

But Judith put us on the fast track with a “let’s heat it up, ladies”.  We had winds of up to 25 that at some points literally would blow you out of your tracks.
If we survive February, I think the remainder will be a cakewalk, she says optimistically! But if the weather predictions hold, we might be able to take off one layer of clothes by next weekend. That means Eva will only have 3 hats on her head!
Great food at Toni’s last night, wonderful barbershop singers and plenty of beads.  I only hope the people in New Orleans also found a way to have some fun.
And kudos to my walking buddies:  A fine group of women and fantastic to spend time with.  As Mary Oliver once wrote: “There are a hundred paths through the world that are easier than loving, but who wants easier?”  And the four of us are going to love each other through every mile of practice and through the 39-mile marathon and we are going to make a difference with our love and your help.
Again, thanks to each of you for being with us.  And this week, surprise someone by mentioning that you love them.

Anne
