Hello people: |
|
|
|
| |
Okay so
we walked 6 miles on Saturday in cold, blowing wind and
survived. The most amusing incident was Eva who was dressed
up like our mothers dressed us when we were children! The
only parts that moved on her body were her legs and her arms
from the elbow down. We have some great pictures that we
will post on my website whenever Roz gets the time. I’ll let
you know.
Despite that, I ended up in Charlottesville on Saturday and
discovered a new wine. I know I drink a lot of wine! So slap
me! Please!!! |
|
 |
|
| |
This is another change
for me…try the Riesling berg by Anton Bauer, another
Austrian wine! NO, it is not sweet. I know that you know
that I dislike anything sweet including the word, but this
is very drinkable. |

And on
the home front: the most stubborn Boston terrier ever in the
history of dogdom is now residing in my home! Casey II has
learned how to break out of her sleeping crate and has been
renamed “Breakout Betty”. She waits until I have gone to
bed; since I’m the last, and then the noises start and
eventually out she comes. She has proclaimed ownership of
most of the comfortable seating in the house and if one
refused to move, she simply takes over the furniture.

Sunday
January 21
Cold, windy and snow, but
a wonderful day! Sandra found us a new walking route
through beautiful scenery on back roads and it was
fantastic! Walking through the snow was like a fantasyland
and the sights we saw! |
|
| |
We
started with a beautiful horse that demanded that I stop
walking and rub her face for the remainder of the day…I wish
we could have taken her with us. Then we passed a pasture
(snow covered) with buffalo and as we were watching the
buffalo, a herd of deer went running through.
Then we came upon
something I would have wondered about my drug use had not
everyone else seen the same sight! |

|
Someone had put one of those board fences in front of their
house and had painted religious murals on each panel. One
had an enormous cross, but our favorite was a large mural of
death that read, “Hi, there. We have an appointment”.
|
|
| |
We
passed a wonderful and large, old barn; and the vineyard in winter, lovely.
And we saw a lot of “full moons rising” as we stopped
several times to pee in the road! |
|
| |
 |
|
It was one of those magical trips with good friends and a
beautiful six miles. It will be "one of those memories"
days.
Hope all of you are well. Take care and thanks for your
donation.
