Saturday 14th April

Greetings Supporters!

  So today Eva, Sandra and I walked 5-6 miles in the rain.  We started early since the rain was supposed to start after 12 pm!  After 2 hours of cold, wet feet we gave up since we’re too close to the real walk to get ill.  After a hot shower, I checked outside and of course, it had stopped raining!  Tomorrow we’re expected to do 19 miles in what is supposed to be cold rain. I guess we’ll grease our shoes and go!  Send us your warm thoughts!

And next weekend, is the BIG WALK!  Even as I type, Gayle and Toni are plotting us a map for our walk in Nelson County for our last major training walk.  And what an ending to an already full week!

Old Friends

We have senior banquet Tuesday, Catie Curtis on Thursday and Friday and then off to Nelson.  We’re going to “play” in Nelson on Saturday (think sunrises and Crab Tree Falls), have a carbo-loaded dinner somewhere and then up early on Sunday.  We start at Toni and Gayle’s at 7:30 and head up Ennis Mt.  After that, only the magical two know where we’re going next.

Look for us on the road if you live in the area:  4 women with pink hats, hopefully laughing, and give us a wave and a shout out!  And Roz in her new MINI, bringing us water and food, will periodically accompany us!

Wish us luck and good weather:  we’re certainly due some.  Two photos up(April 14 folder): note the contrast between old house and electrical lines.  That thought came from Roz.

 Until tomorrow;
